About the Artist
Like so many transplants, I found my way “home” to Maine a number of years ago and never looked back. Originally from the mid-Hudson valley, I raised my family in Connecticut and made a beeline North as soon as it was feasible.
Having spent many happy summer vacations in New York’s Adirondack Mountains as a child, I was drawn to the midcoast by its unusual proximity to lakes, mountains, and ocean, as well as its abundance of wildlife and farmland. In this wonderous environment and with dedicated studio space, my art has evolved into an animal-centric combination of pure oil painting and elements of collage. Each animal subject, in its own phantasmagoric, multilayered environment, has a story to tell. The viewer is invited to interpret those stories.
