“I have felt so lucky to watch spring unfurl here at Rolling Acres. Winter is so long in Maine, it feels like a miracle when the first flowers bloom. Migrating geese made this field their home. Tom turkey’s have done their puffed up two step.  A doe and her fawn spend mornings in the old sheep pasture. The bobolinks have been signing and swooping. The beavers continue building their lodge. Today I found the most intact snake skin- from head to tail- I’d ever found. It was by the old pump. I’ve been calling the resident snake I see here nearly everyday, Slyvia. And of course there are the peepers and fire flies. The gardens are planted and with this heat wave are off to a promising start.”
