Come one, Come all! Please join us for Maine Farmland Trust's Annual Meeting on Thursday, November 7th. This year's event will be from 5-7pm at the Salt Institute Gallery at 561 Congress St. in Portland (click here for directions). Street parking is available, and there are several parking garages within easy walking distance (see map of garages here).
This is a celebratory event, a chance for all of us at MFT to catch up with you, our members and supporters! There will be plenty of good food from Local Sprout Cooperative, local wine, beer, hard cider, music, general merriment, and just a little bit of business!
This year we're excited to host a short talk by Severine von Tscharner Fleming at 6:30PM. Severine is the director of The Greenhorns, a nonprofit working nationwide to recruit, promote, and support the new generation of young farmers. She is also a co-founder of the National Young Farmers Coalition, and the recently launched Agrarian Trust, a new project addressing land access issues for next generation farmers.
