Join Brooklin Food Corps and Climate Action Net for a presentation and discussion about the Farm Bill by Shelley Megquier, Policy & Research Director at Maine Farmland Trust. The federal Farm Bill shapes what’s grown on the land and who grows it, conservation and climate, the safety of our food system, and the economic health of rural businesses and communities. The federal Farm Bill is being redrafted in 2023 and presents an opportunity to invest in climate-smart agriculture in a meaningful way. Learn more about what’s in the bill, what’s being proposed for 2023, and how you can help advance a farm bill that addresses farmers’ needs and climate goals.
