Join us! We’re the only statewide land trust devoted exclusively to farmland protection.

Our goal is to preserve 100,000 acres of farmland by 2015. That’s the scale that is needed to make a meaningful impact.

Our members make our work possible. Our budget is primarily funded by individual donors and membership fees. Since 2005 our membership has grown dramatically from 400 to over 3,400 households. Please take this opportunity to join our growing ranks of members.

As a member you will receive our biannual newsletter and our monthly e-news to keep you updated on our projects and progress.

Maine Farms at Work

MFT commissioned conservation photographer Bridget Besaw to create a series of photographs for a traveling exhibit illustrating several of MFT’s farm projects. This series eventually became the imagery for the book “From the Land, Maine Farms at Work” with a foreword by Chellie Pingree and essays by MFT Executive Director John Piotti.
