Leasing Your Land to a Farmer: An Informational Workshop for Landowners and Farmers

Maine Farmland Trust and Land For Goodinvite you to attend "Leasing Your Land to a Farmer: An Informational Workshop for Landowners and Farmers". This workshop is for private landowners interested in making their land available to farmers for agricultural production and farmers interested in leasing issues. Assessing your land, crafting leases, legal, financial, tax, insurance, liability and finding a farmer are some of the topics that will be covered. Presenters include Erica Buswell, Maine Farmland Trust, Pete Westover, Conservation Works, LLC, Jo Barrett, Land For Good. Light refreshments made with local ingredients will be served.

  • Date: Oct. 27th
  • Time: 12:30-4pm
  • Location: Meet at the Mitchell Farm in Penobscot, 621 Front Ridge Rd. (Rt. 15) in Penobscot. After the tour, we will progress to the Blue Hill Library (5 Parker Point Rd. in Blue Hill), and reconvene at 2pm for and presentation and discussion.
