Walking Tours of Rokes Farm

Sunday, October 21

One-hour tours begin at

8:30 and 10:00

208 Mechanic Street

The Camden Conservation Commission invites you to Walking Tours of Rokes Farm with Maine Farmland Trust to learn about the history of farm operations, as well as what we may see in the farming seasons to come as the next generation of farmers begin to work this land.

Rokes Farm is a treasured community asset and the focus of a joint fundraising effort between Maine Farmland Trust and Maine Coast Heritage Trust called “Saving Camden Farmland for Farming” seeking to preserve Rokes and the adjacent Spear property not only for open space but also to help revitalize local farming.

Meet us at the entrance near the chicken barns and a Maine Farmland Trust lands staff will guide us down through the fields and back up to the barns. Stop in at the Snowbowl Pancake Breakfast before or after your walk!
