Public Livestream: Symposium on PFAS – Current Knowledge and Applications for Agricultural Production

October 23, 2023

 •

As other states begin to grapple with PFAS contamination on farms, we all need to collaborate across state lines and sectors to reach longer-term solutions. Join us on October 23rd from 8:30am-11:45am for a public livestream from a national symposium we’re co-organizing on PFAS – Current Knowledge and Applications for Agricultural Production.

Maine Farmland Trust, the University of Maine, Michigan State University, and USDA’s Agricultural Research Service are organizing a multi-day national symposium at Michigan State University October 22-24th. PFAS researchers, policymakers, and impacted farmers from around the country will share their learnings and experiences at the in-person gathering, a portion of which will be livestreamed for the public.

During the public livestream, you’ll learn about cutting edge PFAS research from Dr. Linda Lee of Purdue University and hear from a panel of impacted farmers from Maine and other states, along with opening remarks from Rep. Chellie Pingree and Greg Jaffe of the Office of the USDA Secretary. Register here to get access to the livestream on October 23rd.

More information about the conference, including the full agenda and speaker list, can be found here.
