Tuesday, November 9, 10am-12pm: Join representatives from Maine Farmland Trust, American Farmland Trust, Groundswell Center for Local Food & Farming, Land for Good, National Young Farmers Coalition, National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition, and Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Working Group for a listening session to share your feedback and priorities for Farm Bill programs. You do not need previous knowledge of Farm Bill contents or mechanics to participate! Session is open to all, but we will be particularly prioritizing feedback from current farmers, aspiring farmers, people who did but no longer farm, and those who work in farmer-serving roles and organizations. You will have the chance to share your experience with and ideas for: land access and farmland preservation, climate change, working lands conservation, farm viability programs, business technical assistance, and more. This information will help inform advocacy for the 2023 Farm Bill, helping the programs better serve you and your communities.
